Project Manager and Consultant – Consultant in Human Rights, International Cooperation, Cultural Project Design, and Inclusive Education
Co-founder of Equi Project, a consulting firm specialized in the drafting, management, and evaluation of national and international projects focused on human rights, women’s rights, disability, sustainability, the environment, tourism, culture, and international relations, Simona is a partner and consultant for Creativa in international projects.
With a solid and multidisciplinary academic background—from a degree in Law to one in Italian Literature, Philology, and Linguistics—she enriched her educational path with a Master’s in International Development Cooperation, which allowed her to acquire cross-cutting skills in project management in complex and multicultural contexts.
Her career has developed both internationally and nationally, with a strong commitment to the promotion of Human Rights, social inclusion, and the fight against cultural poverty. She worked for several years in Latin America, particularly in Guatemala, Argentina, and Brazil, as a Project Manager in international development cooperation. In these contexts, she coordinated teams, managed resources, and wrote reports for European institutions, with projects focused on combating socio-economic inequalities, women’s empowerment, and the development of local communities.
In this field, she has gained significant experience in managing institutional relations and coordinating cross-sector partnerships in international contexts; in representing organizations in official settings; and in promoting high-profile public events, fostering dialogue among organizations, institutions, and stakeholders.
At the same time, she has developed extensive experience in the field of disability, collaborating with associations and third-sector organizations. For years, she has worked alongside people with disabilities, particularly minors, to promote better quality of life and to build life paths oriented toward social and work inclusion.
In June 2023, on the anniversary of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, she participated—together with a delegation of young people with disabilities, representing Italian associations active in the field of inclusion—in an official event at the United Nations, by invitation of the current Minister for Disabilities.
She possesses strong communication skills, particularly in writing. She has received recognition in fiction writing competitions and is the author of a young adult novel on the themes of disability and bullying, which reflects her commitment to promoting a culture of inclusion and raising awareness among younger generations through effective narrative tools.
In Italy, she has collaborated as a cultural project designer with both public and private entities, participating in regional and European calls for proposals, including Erasmus+, on topics related to youth, culture, and inclusion.
She is co-founder of the cultural association i 313, through which she has promoted intercultural integration through cinema, particularly in the Piedmont region, managing projects funded by the regional government.
In this context, she contributed to the creation of intercultural events such as film festivals in Turin, involving directors from Eastern Europe and the Maghreb, thus supporting intercultural dialogue and the appreciation of cultural diversity in the area.
In the field of education, she has designed and managed educational initiatives in high schools in Turin, promoting human rights education, inclusion, and art as tools for the growth of younger generations.
She taught Italian literature for several years, inspiring students with a passion for culture and awareness of their role as agents of change.
She is an expert in inclusive learning technologies, working in the educational field with both disabled and non-disabled youth to promote equitable and accessible learning environments.
Inclusive and assistive technologies are essential tools to ensure accessibility and active participation for students with disabilities and learning disorders, enhancing their abilities and fostering school and social inclusion.
Her professional and personal journey is driven by a deep commitment to building a fairer, more equitable, and sustainable world.
