Co-founder of Zelian Srl – Sustainability and Environmental Communication Expert
Erica Lo Buglio and Andrea Lupo, co-founders of Zelian Srl, have been working for nearly 30 years on topics related to the environment, sustainable development, and the green/circular economy—initially for multinational companies and later as consultants for businesses, public entities, and associations.
Both Erica and Andrea are members of the Green Economy Network of Assolombarda and the Energy and Environment Commission of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Paris.
As members of the ICC Commission, they contributed to the development of:
- The ICC Business Charter for Sustainable Development
- The Green Economy Roadmap, a document for businesses, policymakers, and civil society aimed at developing and implementing actions and policies for the green economy
- The ICC Framework for Responsible Environmental Marketing Communications
- The ICC Informal Working Group on Green Claims
They have both been involved in environmental and sustainability reporting since 1996 and follow the development of sustainability and ESG KPIs from the main international standard-setters.
Since 2021, they have been responsible for the annual workshop “Non-financial reporting in business strategy”, held as part of the course Institutional Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility at the Department of Communication and Social Research, Sapienza University of Rome.
Since 2005, Erica has actively engaged with the United Nations on partnership programs for Sustainable Development and the SDGs, and she acts as UN and UNEP focal point for international clients.
Erica holds a degree in Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures from the University of Pavia, and postgraduate specializations in Public Relations (ISFORP – Institute for Public Relations Studies and Training) and Marketing (SDA Bocconi).
